Medical Device Training Specialist/RN

The RN, will complete training and be certified on our medical device; will provide professional clinical support to customers (primarily physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants), through education and training regarding our pain therapy product. This person will quickly become an extension and work collaboratively with our other Trainers and independent representatives; develop effective working relationships with the customers; represent the company at trade shows, conventions and in key accounts; provide routine follow-up support to customers at device locations as needed; develop strong, working relationships with device locations while providing product in-servicing and clinical education; assist device representatives in collection of product data to support team business case and clinical effectiveness of the pain therapy product; assist in the distribution of product educational materials as well as current and previously published research studies; support clinical research efforts within the company and with device sites; support trade shows, research, and educational events as requested; remain current with literature/practice as well as support team members.

Obtain National Pain Certification within 2.5 years of practice within organization (if not already obtained).

Qualifications

  • Must have a Registered Nurse (RN) current license
  • Preferred BSN
  • Prefer a minimum of 10 to 12 yrs of general clinical experience (experience in pain management and/or oncology - palliative care is a plus)
  • Prefer members of National Pain and Oncology Organizations
  • Prefer Clinical Research Experience

General Information

  • Approximately 12 to 16 days per month travel (domestic and international)
  • Expect 3 weeks travel and 1 week in office per month
